Frequently asked

Before you book.

What does a typical hunt cost?+
We don't publish package prices because every trip is built around your party, dates, and target. Send an inquiry and we'll come back with a real quote within 24 hours.
How do I reserve dates?+
Send an inquiry, we'll reply with dates and a quote, and a short call locks it in. We're currently fully booked for fall 2026; fall 2027 is open.
Do you handle tags & licenses?+
For our Missouri whitetail and turkey hunts, we walk every client through tag deadlines, residency rules, and over-the-counter options. Most clients handle the application themselves with our guidance. For partner-network mule deer and pheasant trips, your partner outfit covers their own state's process and we'll connect you directly.
What's included in the package?+
Lodging, all meals, in-field guiding, transportation to and from stands, skinning, and full cinematic filming + edit. Not included: tag, license, ammo, travel to and from camp, gratuity, taxidermy.
How do you handle filming?+
One of our team is in the blind or on the glass with you, with a real camera. Same setup that filmed our YouTube channel and the press features. You leave camp with a cinematic edit — and we'll send the raw clips on request.
How many hunters per camp?+
Whitetail is a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 hunters per camp. Turkey caps at 4. We run small camps on purpose — it's how we keep the hospitality and the filming personal.
What should I bring?+
We send a hunt-specific packing list with your confirmation. Short version: warm clothes, boots, your weapon, ammo or arrows, your tag, valid hunting license. Don't bring food — we feed you.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?+
Yes. Tell us when you book and our kitchen will plan around it. Vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, allergies — not a problem.
What about weather cancellations?+
We hunt in weather. The exception is unsafe travel or a hard lightning lockout — in those cases we shift the day or extend your stay at no charge. We don't issue weather refunds for the camp itself, but we'll always work with you in good faith.
How do I pay?+
Today we accept check, wire, or cash on arrival. We're rolling out a deposit-and-balance payment portal soon — when it goes live, returning hunters will be the first to use it.
How do I get there?+
Lexington, MO is about 40 minutes east of Kansas City International (MCI). Most clients fly into MCI and rent. We'll send detailed routing in your booking proposal.
Habitat consulting — still a service?+
Yes. Kinser consults with landowners on food plots, bedding, ecotones, and parcel design — the same playbook that built our whitetail program. See habitat services or get in touch.
